This Mayan child, the son of a Maya tribe chief, proudly carries the signs of his inherited high status on his body. The tattoo patterns and bone ornaments on his nose and ears were privileges given only to the elite members of Maya society. At that time, tattoos were seen as symbols of spiritual protection and social power. The bones placed on the nose represented both courage and the noble lineage he belonged to. Despite his young age, his clenched fist and confident gaze boldly declare his strength to the world. As seen in historical references like the film Apocalypto (2006), these traditions held deep cultural meaning for the Maya people. This character brings the spirit of an ancient civilization back to life through a contemporary artistic vision. Textured in Substance Painter and rendered with Arnold.
